Mary McCormack was an American actress, best known for her portrayals as the protagonist in TV series such as "Murder One", "The West Wing", "In Plain Sight" and Loaded. Also known for her roles in films that she's appeared on, including "Private Parts", "Deep Impact", "True Crime" and 1408. McCormack was the daughter of an ice-cream parlor owner as well as a psychologist who worked in a clinic. The McCormack family does not have any connection to entertainment. Her career began at the age of 12 as she performed in a stage production of 'Amahl and the Night Visitors', a Christmas opera. When she was 12, she began her acting career in a production of the Christmas musical "Amahl And The Night Visitors". Following her stage debut and in film, she got roles in both small-screen and large-screen productions. In the present, McCormack is recognized as one of the best performers in Hollywood. In her marriage to producer and director Michael Morris, she has three daughters.
